Heading to Sheffield!
I have not had a minute to blog this week at all so I am going to change this and blog as much as I can next week and the week after before the madness of my life that is teaching begins again!
This week I have been working on my Queen's Guide Award for Girl Guiding UK, if any of you don't know what that is I highly recommend getting over to the website and becoming a volunteer even if for just 1 hour a week it's very rewarding! The Queen's Guide Award is the highest achievement you can get and it shows what qualities you have as a person to work through many different challenges over a short period of time!!!
I thought I would share with you what trials and tribulations this 'twonky' teacher has been up to as it' the holidays not all my posts will be school related, it started on Wednesday when I got a group of friends together and went playing monopoly around Sheffield. It absolutely hammered it down with rain and the locations left a little to be desired as they were just roads so we headed about 4.15ish to the final location of Meadowhall and had a starbucks - which was well deserved!
Thursday started out just brilliant as we had personal one to one tours of three different locations including Sheffield United Football Club home dressing room :) and the place where Jess Ennis started her dream the Don Valley Stadium and the Institute of Sport Sheffield. We walked a lot of steps that day and was very grateful for a sit down. I managed to blag two free drinks all in good cause of my Queen's Guide Award of course!
Finally on Friday we went to Weston Park, The Children's Hospital and Western Bank we had a fab time, swapped prezzies and even better blag this time .... a small starbucks mug!!!! Brilliant.
So if you are thinking you want to do something different get out there and join the monopoly party!!!
Over and out
